NOTICE: VOLUNTEERS MUST BE ABLE TO VISIT OUR LODI OR MANTECA OFFICE TO PICK UP/DROP OFF THEIR CALL INFORMATION ON THE MONTH THEY WILL BE MAKING CALLS.
Bereavement volunteers offer grief support to our patients remotely. Hospice of San Joaquin Provides Bereavement care to families after their loved one has passed. Volunteers help provide resources we offer to the families and community free of charge.
Volunteers receive training on our services and a helpful script to assist in providing phone calls to check in on individuals and families. Although it may not be the most glamorous volunteer opportunity, it is a critical one and makes a difference in the lives of those with who we contact.

Description
The mission of Hospice of San Joaquin, a not-for-profit organization, is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care, counseling, and support to terminally ill patients and their families, regardless of their ability to pay and to educate and collaborate with healthcare providers and the public in promoting quality end-of-life care.
We provide:
A comprehensive care plan that includes medical, social, spiritual, and emotional support for the patient, family, and caregivers.
Effective pain control and symptom management are tailored to each patient's need and changing condition.
