ChickTechATL is a nonprofit dedicated to getting more girls pursuing STEM opportunities. We are launching our first event for our High School program on January 28-29 at The Iron Yard and need volunteers to help lead a Web Design workshop.

Today we are going to build a website (one or more pages) about anything you like, using HTML and CSS.
You will learn:
-- How to set up a website
-- How to write the markup for it (write HTML)
-- How to style that markup (write CSS)
What's involved -
- The rewarding experience of introducing girls to STEM sometimes for the first time
- 2 full days of hands-on involvement with our high school participants
- Lunch both days
What's required -
- Background check
- One 15-minute intro call and one 1-hour workshop prep call
- Enthusiasm and excitement!

ChickTech is dedicated to retaining women and non-binary people in the technology workforce and increasing the number of people of marginalized genders pursuing technology-based careers.
Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
