Is keyboarding something you enjoy? Do you like to input numbers? How about keeping details straight? And do you have strong math skills? You can have a part in supporting Bible translation!
JAARS makes Bible translation and language development possible in the most remote and difficult areas in the world through transportation, technology, media, and training.
Help the accounting office verify invoices, receive cash, and perform clerical and data entry. The hours for this position are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, with only occasional afternoon work.
Description
Responsible for performing clerical and data entry in our accounting office.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify invoices, cash received, and similar financial information
- Use financial system to record and review inputted information for posting
- Perform other clerical and secretarial activities such as keyboarding and filing
- This is a .2 FTE position
Requirements and Experience Desired
- Experience with numbers and financial concepts
- Formal education in bookkeeping or six-plus months of experience in similar work
- Must be a detail person with strong math and data entry skills
- Knowledge of basic financial functions such as checking accounts and credit cards.
- Good computer skills using MS Office applications and/or Open Office

We do that by supporting Bible translation and language development partners globally, and by working with prayer and financial partners in the United States to help make a range of unique on-the-field solutions possible.
