The Jericho Road Community Health Center Vive Program, formerly know as Vive La Casa, is a shelter for asylum seekers from around the world. Families escaping violence in their countries of origin are sheltered temporarily while waiting for their permenant immigration statuses to be established.
Half of the residents of Vive are children. Volunteers are needed to facilitate activities in the playroom, or outside when the weather permits so that their parents can attend legal consultations, and preform household tasks.
Volunteer opportunities are Monday through Friday from 9 AM-12:30 PM and 1 PM-5 PM.
