Want to help a child but time and scheduling are concerns? CASA Volunteering requires just one visit a month - on your schedule and your time. As a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteer, you provide once-a-month visits to a child to insure his or her life is protected and respected. You must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check and have a valid driver's license. You advocate for a child (whose one or both parents and not the boyr or girl is under court supervision). The boy or girl may reside with a biological parent or in foster care. You receive training, our "Bright Spot" newsletter and help from other CASA Volunteers through our CASA Cafés, and an open-door policy to staff. You partner with the boy or girl YOU agree to advocate for, on average, one year. Once he or she is either reunited with their biological parent(s) or adopted, your job-well-done as a CASA Volunteer ends. Your support and stability, however, lasts a lifetime.
