Have you ever considered serving on a nonprofit board? If so, you are invited to an Effective Board workshop, which prepares participants for board duty. Serving on a board supports the health of local nonprofits and expands the influence of the individual in community affairs. It’s a true win-win.
Benefits include:
* Learn critical professional skills that apply both to nonprofit board service and business management.
* Support the important work carried out by nonprofit organizations that rely on local leadership.
* Raises your profile and influence in the community.
Jericho Road Pasadena not only trains board members, we will also match you with an organization that needs your skills and fits with your philanthropic interests. All potential board members will have an individual orientation with JRP staff either before or after the workshop to determine what kind of nonprofit would be a good fit for you. Registration costs $45; register at https://jrpasadena.yapsody.com/event/index/350531/be-an-effective-board-member. For more information, contact MGoodyear@JRPasadena.org or 626-714-7234.

Mission Statement
Jericho Road Pasadena bridges communities by matching the professional talents of volunteers with the needs of community-based nonprofit organizations to promote community development, strengthen social services, and enrich the lives of volunteers.
Description
Since 2010, we have connected volunteer experts with nonprofits that offer critical services to underserved residents in their communities. By meeting the internal needs of these nonprofits free of charge - from strategic planning to marketing and IT - nonprofit staff can focus on stronger delivery of services, thereby building better communities. JRP follows a seven-step match-making and project management process that defines clear outcomes for the nonprofit and matches the right volunteer to the nonprofit’s need. Projects range from one-time consultations to year-long projects, and might be executed by one volunteer or a team.
