About

The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is initiating new science based workshops for groups such as schools, home school groups, scouts, etc. The workshops will take place in the morning at either 9am Tuesday through Thursday or 10am on Saturdays. They are available to the public on a "as reserved" basis, so, they may or may not be consistent. This means that volunteers will be requested on an as needed basis. We offer a variety of workshops to teach children about basic scientific principles we model here at the museum. All individuals are encouraged to volunteer, but you must enjoy working with children, be patient, helpful, and if you have a science background, that's great, but if not, no problem. Volunteers may also help in the planning and teaching process as well. Because you will be working with children, this position also requires a back ground check.
