Deconstruction is the process of demolishing a buidling using people power. By doing this, Refab is able to hire more people for the green industry. Deconstruction diverts much more materials from area landfills than demolition.
We're on the lookout for anyone interested in learning how to deconstruct homes. This will help anyone interested in remodeling their own homes, as well as training for the deconstruction and green industry. Plus, it's A LOT of fun!

About Refab
Location:
3130 Gravois Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63118, US
Mission Statement
Refab promotes the collective and creative re-use of our built environment. This mission is sustained by deconstructing buildings otherwise slated for demolition, retraining community members for careers in green industry, and refabricating building materials for resale.
Description
Refab creates training and employment opportunities through the sustainable practices of deconstruction and refabrication. Rather than use machines to demolish buildings and landfill perfectly good materials, we use people power to quickly and carefully disassemble structures and make quality, affordable materials available to the public.
