Volunteer Bereavement Counseling and Chaplains positions!
Hometown is looking for volunteers to be a part of our Hospice Angels Program. Hospice Angels is a group of volunteers that embrace terminally ill individuals, ease their crisis, and offer hope to families.
Hospice Angels provide anticipatory counseling and bereavement support to families/caregivers. You can support others through the grief process and the "new normal" of their life.
Our Staff and Volunteers together help others understand and cope with their loss in a way that encourages personal healing and growth.
When: Very Flexible: will work off your availability.
Where: Various Funeral Services, Patients and Family Homes, Nursing Homes, and Assisted Livings.
Time: Very Flexible: 1 or 2 hours a week.
Those who actively volunteer for 6 months will receive a strong letter of recommendation for potential employers and will be considered for Chaplin open positons within Hometown Hospice & Homecare.
