We are looking for Yoga enthusiasts and instructors to lead our students before school on Wednesdays (8:00 AM- 8:45 AM).
Volunteers should be able to:
- instruct and assist K-5 students during the activity
- commit at least 1 hour of their time per week
Jeane Thorman Elementary School is a Title 1 socioeconomically disadvantage school that serve the south Tustin area in Southern California. Many of our students lack positive role models at home to cope with the stress in their lives. By incorporating yoga into the school we will be able to introduce and implement stress reduction techniques to our preK-5 classes in order to help build positive social skills and teach our students to deal with anger and frustrations in order to achieve academic and personal success.
