ORGANIZATION: Champions For Health

Hello Volunteers,

My name is Andrew Gonzalez, Volunteer Coordinator for Champions for Health. We are a non profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to ensure everyone has access to care as well improving the overall health of our community. In partnership with Live Well San Diego, we are looking for civically minded individuals to help us at the upcoming Love Your Heart Event.

Love Your Heart is an annual event that will take place on February 14, 2017, during which the County of San Diego and its partners will provide free blood pressure screenings to the public at select sites throughout the San Diego region and Mexico. The goal of Love Your Heart is to activate residents to "know their numbers" and take charge of their own heart health.

Who are we looking for:

Medical Volunteers: Medical volunteers are individuals who able to perform and record blood pressure screenings at a site for 2 to 4 hours.

Health Promoters: Health promoters are volunteers who support the medical volunteers and main focus is to help bring in the crowd. Great opportunity for those that are pre-med, public health oriented, or have a passion to create a healthier community.
