Work with children as well as adults who have disabilities in different sports such as basketball, tennis, and soccer. We also need volunteers to help set up and tear down the event, register participants and other volunteers, and help oversee different sport events through out the festival.

We actively seek to enhance parks and recreation projects and programs, as well as the Coachella Valley environment. We also offer important financial assistance to those who may otherwise be unable to particiapte in recreation programs. Our mission is to enrich the lives of Coachella Valley residents through the support of recreational opportunities.
Description
The Special Events department of the Desert Recreation District is responsible for developing, planning and bringing to fruition programming in the area of fundraising events, special annual sports events and unique kids programs.
Many of the events we host are large scale and require all hands on deck.
