Volunteer to make a difference in children's lives through the sport of tennis!
We are looking for individuals 16+ to supervise and engage youngsters ages 5 through 15 in a brand new indoor Winter Tennis program at Pratt Institute. Tennis experience is helpful but not required.
KCTL’s inaugural Winter Tennis Season begins Saturday, February 4, 2017. The season includes six classes and two field trips. We ask that all on-court volunteers:
- Take part in our January 26 training session/social event
- Commit to at least four Winter sessions. Classes will be held on February 4, February 11, February 25, March 11, and March 18 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and on April 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Field Trips take place on March 4 and March 25. Locations and logistics TBA.
- Are comfortable with and enjoy working with groups of children
- Are excited to learn about being a role model
Note: Previous tennis experience is helpful, but not required!

Description
Kings County Tennis League (KCTL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to using tennis as a vehicle for youth development and community building in Brooklyn's public housing communities. By bringing tennis directly to kids where they live, KCTL seeks to build a future in which all children in Brooklyn have regular access to a healthy activity that stimulates their personal growth and exposes them to new concepts, cultures, people, and possibilities. The program has three seasons annually: Winter (February-April), Summer (June-September), and Fall (October-November).
