A-OK Volunteers serve as mentors and tutors for elementary and middle school students in Howard County schools. A volunteer can provide one-on-one mentoring/tutoring or serve in in-school and afterschool programs working with youth in small groups.
A-OK Mentoring-Tutoring, Inc is actively seeking volunteers!
A-OK volunteers make a commitment to serve for the school year and do not mentor/tutor in the summer.
Please note that the volunteer opportunities require that you be at least 21 years of age and have availability on weekdays, during daytime hours during the school year.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to contribute positive, ongoing support to Howard County students in order to enhance their academic, social, and emotional development.
Description
AOK Mentoring & Tutoring is a nonprofit and official partner of the Howard County Public Schools that recruits, screens, trains, and oversees volunteers who mentor and tutor students in many county elementary and middle schools. Students are identified by school liaisons as children who could benefit from one-on-one attention. The Volunteer Mentor-Tutor visits with the student weekly during the school day, throughout the school year.
