PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Interlock Media, Inc. located near Google in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA, is an activist film company that points to solutions for environmental, human rights and public health challenges. We support informed policy by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.
We are seeking talented, enthusiastic Production Assistants to forward our mission, gain tangible skills, and grow as members of a team. As a PA you will assist on projects nearing completion and projects under development. We currently have a world-class documentary and one low-budget feature in production, as well as a series of multichannel shorts.
PA volunteers participate in all aspects of film and media production, according to their interests and abilities, including:
Research
Coordination of crews
Shooting video
Video-Audio editing
Digital promotion
Production office know-how
Workflow and organization
Non-profit management and fundraising
We especially welcome individuals with a background or interest in filmmaking, audio, animation, anthropology, environmental sciences, arts and business administration, and international development studies. Some prior experience in Pre-Production, Production and/or Post-Production is strongly preferred. Exceptions will be made for exceptional people.
We applaud excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are ideal. Applicant should possess the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment.
For our part, we are dedicated to your hands on training and participation from day one.
Hours: Full time preferred, but part time will be considered if you can work at least 15 hours/week.

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise
Salary: None Qualifications:
Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
