Do you have a passion for working with teens? Do you want to help teens learn new life skills through enrichment activities? Volunteer with our LifeWise Academy program!
LifeWise Academy provides academic enrichment, social emotional support, life skills, and job readiness activities to teens during a critical period of development so that they are better prepared for post-secondary success. Programming is designed to address the barriers that make academic success difficult to achieve which includes limited resources, lack of stability, the absence of meaningful mentor relationships, and the lack of one-on-one attention and guidance. LifeWise Academy staff and community work each day to ensure that our scholars have the resources and the tools they need to ensure post-secondary success for all.
Volunteers are needed to lead Life Skills enrichment sessions once a week to 15-20 teens. Volunteers are needed to instruct a class on Mondays from 5-6pm. Please see a list of potential Life Skills Enrichment ideas below!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to help individuals and families achieve economic well-being by providing high-impact, relationship-based programming and by addressing systemic barriers to their success.
Description
Our vision is that all people in the St. Louis region have access to the opportunities and support that allow them to achieve economic well-being. LifeWise StL supports the vision by increasing its thought leadership, building presence through program growth and expanding influence in the community.
Our story began in 1902 when LifeWise StL was founded as a settlement house. Middle class men and women provided education and resources to help the growing immigrant population of St. Louis. They created a place of hope, refuge, learning and connection. These ideals have endured even as the community around us has changed and life situations are more challenging.
Our organization has experienced its own metamorphosis as it adapted to meet the needs of our participants. We have moved away from crisis services toward holistic transformations. Today, we have a model that is based on educational programming fused with personalized and supportive coaching.
