Be a part of the movement to build more hopes and dreams for your neighbors! Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (RVHFH) is seeking volunteer help with retail business management and web design.
RVHFH is pursuing an exciting new retail business venture in Somerset County to help support their work of building homes for local neighbors in need. Seasoned retail professionals are sought to help develop a business plan, including merchandising and staffing.
"This opportunity will help sustain us well into the future and will touch the lives of hundreds of hard-working Hunterdon and Somerset county residents who need an affordable, decent a place to live," shared David Polomski, Construction Manager. Mission Statement
Raritan Valley Habitat, an affiliate of Habitat, International, works with its volunteers to eliminate sub-standard housing locally in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties, by constructing affordable new homes for qualified low income families in our area.
Description
Since 1992 Raritan Valley Habitat, a 501(c)3 non-profit agency, has built almost 50 homes for low income families through its dedication and commitment to eliminating poverty housing, advocating for fair and just housing policies, and providing essential financial literacy counseling and money management tools to low income families to help them qualify for or maintain a Habitat interest-free mortgage.
In this respect Raritan Valley Habitat serves as both a construction company and a bank. Raritan Valley Habitat's ability to provide affordable housing is largely due to the modest design of our homes and the dedicated support of our volunteers in construction and in the back office.
