Would you like to make a difference in the lives of special needs children and adults? Easter Seals Iowa is seeking volunteers to lead groups of clients in aerobics. Clients are either participants in Easter Seals' Life Club, a day habilitation program that focuses on providing activities and social outlets to improve life skills and increase independence, or our camp programs. Available class times are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. - 2 p.m for Life Club; two weekends a month for respite camp, or Monday through Friday for day camp and resident camp during the summer months.
ABOUT LIFE CLUB:
The Easter Seals Iowa adult day habilitation program Life Club takes place on site at Camp Sunnyside as well as in the Des Moines community. The program provides training in skills such as socialization, communication, problem solving, creative thinking, peer relationships and more. Life Club clients make friends, get out to see different community attractions, and choose and lead activities they enjoy.

Children and adults with and without disabilities enjoy all Easter Seals Iowa Camp Sunnyside has to offer including canoeing, an animal farm, horseback riding, archery, nature trails, the Variety Club Rec Center, an accessible indoor pool and the Meredith Tree House.MISSION STATEMENT:

Easter Seals provides 15 different programs for individuals with special needs including but not limited to: Camp Sunnyside, Rural Solutions, Respite, Job Training and Employment Services, Supported Community Living, and Child Development Center.
