Volunteer for the Big Blue Wave! Temple ISD and Temple Education Foundation are partnering to host a running event to help support future teachers of Temple ISD. This event raises funds for the TEF Grow Your Own Program, which engages Temple High graduates who pursue an education degree to come back to Temple, Texas to education future generations. Your volunteer support is needed!
The Big Blue Wave 5K/1K Glow Run will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary School (2616 N. 3rd St.) in beautiful historic north Temple. We need volunteers for the following: Set up/Clean up Registration Passing out water Safety Cheering on runners and walkers This opportunity will give volunteers 6 hours of community service. The Temple Education Foundations works the community of Central Texas to help support students and teachers within the Temple Independent School District. We work closely with community partners, schools, teachers and students to help maximize student success. Together, we host annual events from the Distinguished Alumni event to the Big Blue Wave to help spread the mission and increase support for innovative teaching grants and scholarships for graduating seniors.
