During the course of a busy day, our educators, administrators, and therapists are at work with students and their needs, and our very well-used facilities are often in need of a little facelift. Some work --like tidying classrooms or therapy rooms, organizing and upkeeping students' materials, our outdoor environments, and painting the halls-- would work wonders for upkeeping our clean, friendly environment as well as student/staff morale, and this is where we could use some help. Additionally, we are improving our digital presence, so assistance with website design, digital outreach, and mobile marketing would be appreciated.

Mission Statement
Oakes Children's Center provides educational and therapeutic services to children with emotional disturbance and/or developmental delays. Through our on-site non-public school, our public school partnership and outreach programs, and after school programs, we offer emotional, psychological and educational support to these at-risk children and their families. We help the children to develop the skills and self-awareness necessary to continue learning and to fully realize their potential within the community.
Description
Oakes Children's Center has been providing specialized services to children, youth, and families for over 50 years. Our two main programs are:
Counseling Enriched Education Program (CEEP): a California Department of Education certified special education program for youth 5-13 years old with an accomplished clinical program that provides students with twice weekly individual therapy and various group therapy sessions. The children served here have typically been unable to receive treatment or an education in other, less restricitive, public or non-public school placements due to social-emotional and/or cogntive challenges.
Partnership with San Francisco Unified School District: OCC delivers a variety of mental health services at 12 public school sites in San Francisco. Qualified therapists meet with students on-site for indivdual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and consultation support in their mainstream learning environment.
Oakes also offers an Outpatient Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinic, an Outpatient Therapy Program, Family Engagement Training and aTherapist Training Program.
