Do you have a few hours each month to help remove invasive weeds so that native
plants can thrive?
You can help to improve our urban parklands and assist LA Audubon volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for 1-2 hours during weekday mornings at Kenneth Hahn State
Recreation Area.
Our schedule is flexible and we can assign times that work best for you. We welcome
any amount of time that you can spare as this effort is ongoing - there is always
something to do! With your help, wildlife and native plants will once again flourish in
this spectacular park.
Activities include: Digging and removal of weeds. We ask that you bring your own gloves and
a hand weeder if you have one.
Attire: Sturdy closed-toed shoes, hat, sunscreen, reusable water bottle, light jacket.
Parking: There’s plenty of free parking and on weekdays there is no park entrance fee. The park
is located at 4100 S. La Cienega Blvd, 90056, between Rodeo and Stocker. After you enter the
park you will pass a parking kiosk that will be closed. We will assign a specific meeting location
for each work day.
This is a localized effort - we can't handle groups of more than 5. Individuals welcome.
