Children who fall behind in reading by third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. The STAR reading program at Bridger Elementary pairs students who are reading below grade level with tutor volunteers from our community to help our students practice and improve their reading skills. At Bridger Elementary we strive to help every student learn, lead, and succeed. One specific goal at Bridger is to promote career and college readiness-- especially among high-needs students and families. In conjunction with this goal, we aim to increase student and family access to vital community resources and support. Support areas include: clothing, food, school supplies, healthcare, immunizations, social support, tools to celebrate diversity, and access to technology.
Description
Bridger Elementary School serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 5. Bridger is a Duel Language Immersion School (DLI) with roughly 50% of students learning in Spanish and English.
