Interlock Media, Inc., socially engaged non-profit documentary production company, is recruiting for the position of Production Assistant.

We are working on two full-length documentaries and a series of web based videos on climate change. The Production Assistant will likely be involved with multiple projects, each in various stages of development.

The PA Volunteer will be assigned tasks for which he/she is best suited including, but not limited to:

  • Research of subject material

  • Coordination of film crews

  • Subclipping video and/or audio footage

  • Social media management

  • Production office administration and grunt work

  • Workflow and organization

  • Non-profit fundraising

We seek an individual with an educational background or formal training in filmmaking, sound design, motion graphics, anthropology, environmental sciences, arts and business administration, or international development studies. Some prior experience in Pre-Production, Production and/or Post-Production is required.

Schedule: Minimum of 15 hours a week, during standard business hours

Location: East Cambridge. Convenient access to public transportation

Job Type: Unpaid volunteer; non-profit.

Description

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise

Salary: None Qualifications:

Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
