Mission Statement

The mission of the KUFI Club of Chicago is to instill character and value in youth during their development years through supportive and positive youth development programs for low-income and at-risk youth.

Description

The KUFI Club of Chicago is an Illinois nonprofit organization incorporated in May 2015. The Kufi Club is under the fiscal sponsorship of the Love Foundation.

The KUFI Club of Chicago addresses the cultural, career, academic and social needs of at-risk African-American youth living within Chicago’s Roseland/Riverdale Community and Altgeld Gardens housing complex. The KUFI Club of Chicago mission is to teach, train and develop high need African-American youth into intelligent, responsible, honorable and reputable men and women for the 21st Century. Our purpose is to offer youth supreme cultural awareness, consciousness, and pride as it pertains to their African and American heritage, and add commitment to uplift their communities and world. Young African-American males and females today are faced with unique challenges and circumstances that are gender specific, and like any society or community males and females both have certain roles each must embark to ensure the survival of their communities.
