We are looking for those who love to play, love youth and who follow God. It really is all about fun and games (we play way more than just dodgeball)! You play with the kids, they create a bond with you and grow to trust you, and God provides opportunities for growth. You don't have to be superChristian, just be you! It is that easy for God to use you to radically change one child's life forever.
The participants at this program are 7th-8th graders
This program needs people who will
- show up consistently (we ask you pick at least one day a week, i.e. every Tuesday, after school) and engage them!
- Play games.
- Eat cheetos and hang out.
- Pray or listen to them in struggles (trust me, moody teens have plenty of 'em).
- Help quiz them on vocab words and attempt to help them with math.
- Who will speak life into each child they befriend and tell them how weird and wonderful they are!
Remember, if God is calling you to something, you ARE qualified! He will take care of any lack :)
*Ages High School Juniors and up can volunteer. For the middle school program, leader must be at least 2 years older than participants in program. High school leaders are a huge need because the youth relate and look up to them.
**male volunteers are a HUGE need (staff who run program are all women).

Description
We have no space of our own, except our offices. This allows us to always go and meet instead of wait and host. All of our activities are free, so this allows those who truly need our services the opportunity to have them.
Youth: MTC After School Program
We offer a faith based after school program for any student grades 4th-8th in the South Madison Schools. From the bell until 6pm, we provide time to play, a snack, share ways to authentically encounter Christ and homework help. Respect is a high priority and push ups are administered for complaining, unsportsmanlike conduct and disrespectful attitudes.
We intentionally encourage youth to embrace what's unique about them and look for how God created them for their purpose. God looked at this world and decided it needed you!
Family: Family Fun Nights
Once a month MTC plans a dinner for families. There are also games and opportunities to connect as a family.
We also connect individuals to local resources and connect and pray with our after school families.
We have had meet ups and free trivia nights in a local bar, but are currently exploring new outlets for connection for the 20-30 somethings.
Many have been burned by the church and are searching for answers. We want to offer genuine relationships and the encouragement that none of us really know what we're doing, and that's ok!
