We need dedicated volunteers on our Board of Directors who are interested in helping a small museum grow and become a vital part of its local community as well as a resource to those who live beyond Maryland. We need people who are eager to help with fundraising, exhibit design, museum collection care, volunteer coordination, board education and development, web page and social media management and the list goes own. Most board members in the past have been antique radio collectors. We need people who know about non-profit management.

About THE NATIONAL CAPITAL RADIO AND TELEVISION MUSEUM
Location:
2608 MITCHELLVILLE RD, BOWIE, MD 20716, US
Mission Statement
The National Capital Radio and Television Museum collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts, programming, and publications to educate the public about the development and impact of electronic media.
Description
We are a small museum with only two paid part-time staff and about 40 dedicated volunteers. Our goal is to help the public learn about the history of radio and television via an intensive look at the technology behind these communication tools as well as share the cultural, social and even artistic aspects of this media. For older folks it is a trip down memory lane. For younger adults and children, it is a place where they can learn the origin of their smart phones and iPads and the technology behind it.
