Overview of position: Assist Bridging Borders International with raising substantial funds through the private and public sector.
Specific Tasks:
Assist our Fundraising Director in creating a plan to solicit funding from foundations and groups
Research potential funders and build relationships
Contact potential funders and donors
Write and prepare grant proposals and applications
Write thank you notes to donors
Serve as an ambassador and information-provider to the community
Connect with our community partners through events and activities
Perform other duties related to fundraising as needed
Time Required: 8-10 hours per month (varies depending on funding deadlines); minimum requirement of 6 months
Skills/Education: Excellent writing skills, college education preferred
Experience/Qualifications: Previous experience in non-profit grant writing and evaluation required; experience in serving on a non-profit board or program preferred; knowledge of Bridging Borders International’s mission is a must
