ORGANIZATION: Bridging Borders International

Overview of position: Assist Bridging Borders International with raising substantial funds through the private and public sector.

Specific Tasks:

  • Assist our Fundraising Director in creating a plan to solicit funding from foundations and groups

  • Research potential funders and build relationships

  • Contact potential funders and donors

  • Write and prepare grant proposals and applications

  • Write thank you notes to donors

  • Serve as an ambassador and information-provider to the community

  • Connect with our community partners through events and activities

  • Perform other duties related to fundraising as needed


Time Required: 8-10 hours per month (varies depending on funding deadlines); minimum requirement of 6 months

Skills/Education: Excellent writing skills, college education preferred

Experience/Qualifications: Previous experience in non-profit grant writing and evaluation required; experience in serving on a non-profit board or program preferred; knowledge of Bridging Borders International’s mission is a must
