A meaningful volunteer opportunity! This position assists our patients and families to learn more about a diagnosis or a treatment. We have two resource centers open from 9:00am - 4:00pm during the week. You will facilitate computer searches, medical library searches and pull together printed materials to support an individual who wants to know more about a medical condition or treatment. Sometimes you might help a patient find a support group or new research in their diagnosis.
You will need to have good computer skills, customer service skills and the ability to comfort someone in distress. You will also need to be available during the day and during the week. This is an interesting volunteer opportunity in which you will learn quite a bit as your assist with research and learning.
Shifts: 8-12pm or 12-4pm
