ORGANIZATION: Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City

Career Success Coach

Equip students with the knowledge and support they need to choose a career and be hired for their dream job!

Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. They do this by recruiting volunteers from the community to teach K-12 students about financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship.

Volunteers use fun and easy materials provided by JA to lead students through preplanned curriculum that is age-appropriate. Junior Achievement provides all of the materials and training you need, and by volunteering with JA you get to experience the joy of teaching children the skills they need for life in the real world.

This opportunity involves visiting a high school classroom for 4 90-minute sessions (one session/week) and presenting the curriculum we provide. Exact time of day and day of the week depends on the particular class schedule.
