Doing Good seeks a community leader with PR experience to serve on its Board & manage the Doing Good PR volunteers beginning in January. All Board Members are expected to work ethically & be transparent. They raise funds for Doing Good & participate in Doing Good events. Board Meetings are held quarterly on a Monday @ 6:30pm.

Special Skills Sought for this PR Board Member:

• Public relations experience
• Management experience preferred
• Able to juggle multiple deadlines months in advance
• Hands-on experience with print media
• Understanding of reaching targeted audiences
• Take the lead on coordinating the PR volunteers already in place who focus on the Nashville's Volunteer of the Month coverage
• Entrepreneurial vision combined with a take-action attitude

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age
• Exemplify qualities of honesty, integrity & sound moral character
• Have a sincere passion for doing good in the community
• Be a visionary committed to the young organization’s success

Board Member Requirements:

• Donate at least $1 to Doing Good
• Participate in Board Meeetings
• Participate in Doing Good events
• Participate in or pursue fundraising opportunities
• Develop relationships throughout the community on behalf of Doing Good
• Nominate annually at least 1 person for Nashville’s Volunteer of the Month
• Participate in Board votes online within a reasonable amount of time
• Expand Board when needed
• Think strategically yet also take action to implement plans

Doing Good is a young 501c3 non-profit passionate about volunteers. Its goal is to increase the number of people who volunteer by providing Marketing & PR tools, opportunities, & resources to area non-profit & government agencies. By celebrating their volunteers' stories, Doing Good achieves its goal to educate & inspire more to volunteer! Meanwhile each partner agency benefits by receiving complimentary Marketing & PR tools (videos), opportunities (media coverage, event visibility), & resources (online) they need, want, or simply wouldn't be able to afford otherwise!
