ORGANIZATION: Heartland Hospice

Pet visitor needed to provide support to terminally ill patients in hospice and family members. Pet therapy volunteers needed to provide friendly visit to patients!

Dogs must be certified by an organization such as Therapy Dogs International (TDI) or Pet Partners.

We provide full training in Hospice philosophy and volunteer duties. Orientation and on-going training provided! Background and reference check required.

Counties Served: Richmond City, Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, New Kent, Powhatan, Colonial Heights City, Hopewell City, Petersburg City, Louisa, Amelia, Caroline, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, King and Queen, King William, Prince George

Heartland Hospice is recruiting for volunteers to provide friendly visits and caregiver relief/respite sitting for terminally ill patients and their families. We have many ways for volunteers to engage and change the lives of our patients. If you have the heart for it, we welcome your willingness to serve.
