Seniors...Volunteer to promote Independence
ORGANIZATION: Missoula SCP
Please visit the new page to apply.
Senior Comanions are adults age 55 and over who promote the independence, dignity and health of adults. As a Senior Companion, you will help older adults and adults with disabilities be socialized, avoiding isolation; by means of running errands, playing games, going to lunch, taking people to the doctor or just visiting.
By spending time with another adult in need, you will help them remain living independently in their own homes longer. You become healthier and more active. You become a Senior Corps Member and meet people who are like minded and caring.
Become a Senior Companion today by contacting Laura at Missoula Aging Services 728-7682 or email fgpscp@missoulaagingservices.org
We look forward to meeting you

Help adults in need of extra assistance
Through the Senior Companion Program, people age 55 and older provide assistance and friendship to frail older adults and their caregivers, adults with disabilities, and those with terminal illnesses. Senior Companions usually serve four to six clients on a weekly basis, serving 20 hours a week. If you are interested in being a Senior Companion, you must meet income eligibility requirements, and for your time you will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
