Are you a STEM college student or a STEM professional? Become A Mentor
We are an independent volunteer-run nonprofit community STEM organization. We are seeking professionals and university students in STEM to volunteer to assist a small multicultural group of students with their math, science project and presentation for competition. The students are in grade 4 - 7, very bright and eager to learn, but need help with their math and science project.
Needed: 3 Math Mentors and 1-2 Computer Programmer
For the Math Classes, all the preparations for the classes are done for you; all you do is mentor/tutor.
For the Computer Programming Class, a computer programmer to teach a computer language of choice.
The program starts the first Saturday in September (after Labor Day) and ends the last Saturday in January of the next year. It is a Saturday only class, meeting for a few hours. We do not meet on holiday weekends.
This will be a very rewarding experience and you will be presented with a certificate at the annual project day event.
