We are an independent volunteer-run nonprofit community STEM organization. We are seeking professionals and university students in STEM to volunteer to assist a small multicultural group of students with their math, science project and presentation to the public and for competition. These grade 4 - 7 students are very bright and eager to learn, but need help with their math and science project. Our goals are to help improve the students’ basic mathematics skills and teach how to develop a scientific/engineering or technology project and more.
Needed: 5+ math/science project mentors and 1computer/robotics programmer
All the preparations for the classes are done for you; all you do is mentor/tutor the math and coach students with their projects. The computer programmer teaches a computer/robotics language of choice.
The program starts the first Saturday in September (after Labor Day) and ends the last Saturday in January of the next year. It is a Saturday only class, meeting for a few hours for each course.. We do not meet on holiday weekends.
This will be a very rewarding experience and you will be presented with a certificate at the annual project day event.
Reply via email. tttmentorprogram@gmail.com, and sign up for the 2018-2019 program and we can setup a meeting at your convenience to further discuss the program’s activities.
CAN WE COUNT ON YOU?
