Food Literacy Center is looking for dedicated interns/volunteers to make a weekly commitment to teaching low-income elementary students cooking and nutrition.
If you have 4 hours a week to dedicate to help teaching, sign up today! Teacher's aids do not need a background in education or nutrition, but experience working with kids is a plus!
Internship/volunteer duties may include: -prepping veggies/fruit with children (chopping, grating, peeling) -classroom management (keeping children focused and engaged during lessons) -hands on cooking with kids! -must have reliable transportation

Food Literacy Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) established in 2011 in Sacramento, California, with the mission of inspiring kids to eat their vegetables. The organization provides cooking and nutrition education to children in low-income elementary schools throughout the Sacramento City Unified School District to improve health, economy and the environment.
