Are you interested in helping the environment? Learning more about trees? Making a big difference in the community in just a few hours? If you said "Yes", then join us at Sandy River Delta Park to plant native trees and shrubs! All are welcome, no experience needed!
Please arrive by 8: 45am to register and be assigned a crew. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves and tools, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes or boots. Breakfast refreshments and coffee / hot chocolate are provided to get everyone started on the right foot!
RSVPs are not required, you may simply show up (although we do require that you let us know if you're organizing a group larger than 5 members). Please contact Randi or Jenny at 503-595-0213 or Volunteer@FriendsofTrees.org if you have any questions or need more information. We look forward to seeing you out there!
This event is in partnership with the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council and Friends of the Sandy River Delta with support from the US Forest Service, Daimler, the Portland Trail Blazers, PGE's Habitat Fund, Ash Creek Forestry Management, and the Jubitz Foundation to continue native seedling plantings at the Sandy River Delta.

Friends of Trees is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization which organizes tree planting and care events in neighborhoods, natural areas and on school grounds in partnership with the community, government and businesses.
Since Friends of Trees was founded in 1989, our volunteers have planted more than 750,000 trees and native plants!
