Assist in planning, developing and organizing activities that meet the wants and needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Day Support setting. The volunteer helps develop a working knowledge of community events and opportunities and facilitates an active schedule for the individuals receiving services. Volunteers may help reach out to various community entities to obtain free tickets or identify volunteer sites that may be suitable for community engagement activities.
