Mission Statement

The University City Foundation for Public Schools mission is to improve the quality of our children’s education by providing supplemental resources to alleviate shortcomings identified at all of the University City public schools.

Description

We are the University City Foundation for Public Schools and we do business as "EdUCate!".

EdUCate! is a nonprofit foundation established in 1993 to provide supplemental funds for all five of the University City, San Diego, Public Schools. The five schools we support are Curie, Doyle and Spreckels elementary schools, Standley middle school and University City high school.

For more than 20 years, EdUCate! has distributed over $1,600,000 to these five University City public schools. The money has been raised primarily through the many events and programs EdUCate! offers. Funds are allocated annually to Principal Grants, Teacher Grants, the EdUCate! Math Academy (a cluster-wide project for middle and high school students) and Jr. Achievement’s BizTown for 5th graders.
