Clarkston Karmanos Cancer Institute is looking for volunteer drivers for our McLaren Oakland facilities in Bloomfield, Clarkston, and Pontiac to ensure that oncology patients get to and from their lifesaving treatments.
Too often patients delay their cancer treatments because of lack of transportation. Utilizing the Clarkston Karmanos Canster Institute provided vehicle, volunteer drivers would assist in non-emergent trips taking oncology patients to treatment centers, hospitals, and diagnostic centers for appointments and treatment.
All it takes to become a volunteer driver is a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, some free time, and the desire to make a difference. We will provide training through volunteer orientation at McLaren Oakland in Pontiac.
