WeThrive is an entrepreneurial mentoring program that pairs college students with middle school students at local schools nearby. Youth participants will create ventures of their own and earn real revenues. Currently, we are looking for college students in the Boston, NY, Oakland, Los Angeles, and San Jose areas who are passionate about social change and entrepreneurship to mentor youths at a local middle school. Through programming designed to build skills, confidence, and support networks, participants are also provided with the ability to make decisions and take actions aimed at achieving those goals.

Description

WeThrive is a program in which undergraduate university students lead youth from under- resourced communities in the creation of a business venture, mentoring them and teaching them critical life skills along the way. In this year-long program, youth participants create their own ventures from start to finish, earning revenues, and donating all profits to charity. Most importantly, they learn essential life skills and adopt habits that will allow them to achieve their personal goals and definitions of success.
