The Front Desk Volunteer will welcome patients, family members, and guests as they arrive. The volunteer will answer phones, give directions, and assist with other non-medical related activities. The volunteer will also help with additional projects as specified by unit supervisor.
Volunteers in this role are positioned in numerous areas throughout the hospital including the front admitting desk and various clinical area nurse's stations.
The volunteer must be welcoming, confident, kind, and self-sufficient. The individual must possess skills in diplomacy, discretion, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times. The volunteer will interact with and create a welcoming environment for patients, hospital staff, and visitors.
