Show your love to the elderly and their caregivers!
Volunteers stay with elderly clients in their homes and meet needs while caregivers take a break; responsibilities depend on clients' needs. Time commitment is 3-4 hours each week. Dates and times are negotiable with clients.
Why is this important? Because if the full-time caregiver doesn't get a break, they won't be able to care for their loved one. This is important both physically and emotionally.
One gentleman said he could care for his wife, as long as he was able to go golfing with his buddies one day a week. A volunteer provided that much-needed respite for him.
