On June 13, June 15 and June 16, three special volunteers can help us with both. You only need to sign up for one of those dates.
Google in San Francisco, Genentech in South SF, and Qualcomm in Santa Clara will be helping us sort donated clothes and will pay us for the activity. This will require picking up bags of donated clothes at my home in San Jose and taking us to the firm's office that morning, helping with the sorting parties (if interested), and then bringing the boxes back to San Jose where we can make them available to Silicon Valley families in need.
The ability to lift boxes of clothes is desirable but not required. If you furnish the truck, Loved Twice will pay for your gas.
You can participate in the sorting parties if you wish. The work teams enjoy sorting and comparing the clothes. We are making Wardrobes-in-a-Box that will be given a gifts to families. So, packing the boxes can be a creative activity. And you will know that you are helping local families.
Loved Twice believes every newborn girl and boy deserves to have clothes for their first year of life - one of life’s basic necessities.

Mission Statement
Loved Twice provides free baby clothes to underprivileged mothers for their newborns' first year of life. Since our founding in 2005, Loved Twice has thousands and thousands of essential garments of baby clothing to newborns-in-need. (An estimated $3.3M value).
Description
Loved Twice collects gentle used baby clothes and enages volunteers in creating boy and girl wardrobes-in-a-box with outfits for their first year of life. Loved Twice has collection sites at high-trafficked, popular children stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. We distribute our boxes to over 150 local hospitals, prenatal clinics, shelters, safe homes and schools in underserved locations. Many of these babies would go home with the hospital issued onesie and receiving blanket and nothing else. We rely on the generosity of community members who give of their money, time and talent to sustain and grow our organization. There is more demand than we can currently meet. View our opportunities to see how you can help us reach even more low-income babies!
