ORGANIZATION: LADYBUG HOUSE

The Graphic Designer will be primarily responsible for the creation of visual content at Ladybug House for the purposes of informing external or internal stakeholders through various mediums. This position will work closely with multiple teams to assist in various projects like website design, newsletter design, and donor communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist the marketing team with creating visual content required for reoccurring newsletters

* Design web pages required for the LBH website, working together with the Website Developer

* Assist as required the events team in creating signage/posters for upcoming events

* Ensure all designs are created according to the style guide

* Manage the style guide

* Create visual content for the website and social media

* Support other projects as required

Qualifications

* Experience in design programs to include but not limited to: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop.

* 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in graphic design required

* A design degree or diploma is ideal

* Computer skills are required

* Strong attention to detail

* Can work and deliver in a fast paced environment on multiple projects at the same time

* Work primarily independently while supporting multiple teams

Time Period

This position requires a minimum 6 month commitment for 1-2 days per week for an average of 8-16 hours per week. Remote work primarily but office hours may also be required during the day, evenings, or weekends.

Our vision is to nationally inspire a transformational approach to palliative care where all children with life-limiting illnesses and their families have access to support in a homelike setting.

Description

Ladybug House is a grassroots organization working to build Washington's first free standing, community based palliative care home with end-of-life support for children, adolescents and young adults with life limiting illnesses in Seattle. Ladybug House seeks to support families and loved ones, providing rest and rejuvenation for caregivers in a respectful, loving atmosphere. We hope to bring the comfort of home to a medical setting that also meets the emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of each family. If needed, Ladybug House will bridge the gap between home and hospital, offering a place of solace for hospice care.
