We are currently recruiting members for our Board of Directors. We are looking for members dedicated to improving the lives of the working poor in our community. Each board member will be involved in ensuring the mission and vision of the 2 Steps Forward Foundation is met.
Each term is 2 years long. There are monthly meetings the third Wednesday of each month, in addition to an annual meeting in November.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior board membership experience
- Experience fundraising, marketing, or strategic planning
- Knowledge/connections in the Charlotte community

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide financial assistance to working families who have been presented with an unforeseen financial crisis and provide educational resources which will enable them to be financially independent.
Description
While there are many government agencies and non-profit groups to assist those below the poverty line, there are very few th at assist those who are above it, and in danger of slipping below. 2 Steps Forward Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing assistance to people who fall into this category, through individual grants and/or referrals to other non-profit organizations. The foundation provides financial assistance to prevent poverty in the short term, and promote financial independence. Individual grants fill the financial gap during crisis, and referrals to programs to address the root cause to promote long term stability.
