Love to be social ?Our patients and patient caregivers could benefit from your social skills!
Many of our patients and their families are more isolated than ever before due to social distancing guidelines. While Volunteering from the comfort of your own home, you could help out your community and uplift the spirits of our patients with just a phone call.
We are looking for volunteers that can dedicate some of their time to socialize with hospice patients and/or patient caregivers. We do ask that volunteers commit to making phone call visits to their hospice buddy 2-4 times a month. We encourage our volunteers to read to patients, play instruments, or just chat with our patients. All phone call visits are required to be documented.

Hospice Care
Hospice is a philosophy of care that focuses on enhancing quality of life and preserving dignity for a person with a life-limiting disease. The focus of hospice is on comfort and support rather than curative treatment. Hospice care relies on the combined knowledge and skills of a team of professionals to coordinate care tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient and family. Hospice care is typically provided in the patient’s home, but it may also be provided in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and freestanding hospice centers.

Our approach to care is based on our belief that we can make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families. Our name begins with healing because we understand that while cure is not always possible, healing is. We strongly believe that quality hospice care promotes not only physical comfort, but also emotional and spiritual healing for the patient and family. We provide ongoing grief and bereavement support to help the patient and family cope with the many losses that occur during the course of a terminal illness, and we encourage and support the patient and family to seek out opportunities for personal growth, reconnection, and reconciliation.
