Companionship is many things -- enjoying nature, playing music, reading poignant prayer, poetry, stories, holding a hand in gentle silence. Hospice is about quality of life in each moment. Our volunteer training will help deepen your awareness of the healing presence you have available to share in this journey of life.
Hospice Companion Intern -- Spend as many hours a week as needed to complete your internship credit hours/goals. Gain direct patient experience and learn about hospice as healthcare. Spend the majority of your time at bedside with patients. Shadow clinicians in the field, attend clinical team meetings, workshops, and Signature Hospice events.
The next volunteer training is comprised of three sessions: December 2nd, 3rd, and 9th for approx 21hrs of training. The training is held in Tigard, your patient visits will be in your Salem/Marion County community.
