Description:

In cooperation with the San Diego Unified School District, SAY San Diego provides the PrimeTime program to over 3,000 children annually. PrimeTime provides a safe place for elementary and middle school age youth to experience academic enrichment and recreational activities during the hours before and after the regular school day. The programs are designed to create an enthusiasm for learning. SAY is one of the largest providers of PrimeTime programs in San Diego.

As early as April 2017 to the end of the school year

Key Responsibilities:

~Demonstrate knowledge, skill and creativity in a variety of arts and crafts activities

~Provide punctual and intentional direction, including direction for age appropriate arts and crafts projects

~Organize and set up the materials that will be used in the arts and crafts activities

~Monitor and maintain a clean and organized environment for arts and crafts projects that creates an inviting space for all participants

~Adapt teaching methods to meet studentĀ“s needs making everyone, regardless of ability level, feel included

~Encourage and offer challenges surrounding creativity that will raise students to the next level and make suggestions

~Work under the direction and supervision of Site Supervisor and SAY San Diego afterschool staff

~May have to provide your own art supplies

Qualifications:

~Must be at least 18 years old

~Must be cleared through TB test, drug test, background check

~Must provide proof of immunization for Measles, Pertussis and flu shot

~Will be asked to provide references

~Must have reliable transportation

Time Commitment:

Wednesdays preferably from 12:30pm-1:45pm times are flexible

Training and Support:

Will receive support, supervision, and guidance from Site Supervisor
