Volunteer Advocate for Foster Youth
61 people are interested
Abused and neglected children need more than the foster care and child welfare system can provide. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children recruits, trains and coaches citizen-volunteers who advocate for abused children in the community and in the courtroom.
CASA volunteers are not foster parents; they are advocates who give children and youth support and guidance as they navigate the foster care system. CASA volunteers are dedicated to ensuring these children are placed in a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible, either reunited with family, adopted or placed with other family members.
