Help guide visually-impaired participants around the museum while learning about the intertwined histories of the flour industry, the river, and the city of Minneapolis. Built into the ruins of what was once the world’s largest flour mill, Mill City Museum is located on the historic Mississippi Riverfront.
A brief training and overview of Sighted Guide technique for respectfully assisting someone with vision loss is available on site before the tour begins. Staff will be present to make sure everyone is comfortable and having fun!
Vision Loss Resources is a non-profit serving the blind and visually-impaired community in the Twin Cities! We have many flexible volunteer opportunities available. Check them out!
