ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity of Broward

Truck Volunteers at the ReStore

We are a nonprofit housing organization that offers a hand up to low-income families who are unable to qualify for conventional financing but are willing to work hard to improve their family's lives; we bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.

We get our funding from donors, sponsors and also from our ReStore which is a discount retail outlet that sells new or gently used furniture, appliances, housewares and building materials that have been donated by generous members of our community, and which proceeds are used for more hose building.

The more donations we get, the more houses we can build. We have trucks and drivers for picking up donations and you could go with our drivers during their daily route to help them pick up donations. You will have to be at the ReStore located in 505 West Broward Boulevar in Fort Lauderdale at 8:45am and you would be coming back around 5:00pm, this oportunity is available Monday to Friday.
